1. I am pregnant. Very pregnant.
2. I don't want to spend the rest of my life teaching.
3. I wish I could go to culinary school. The food network is an obsession of mine.
4. Olivia is really smart. (and i am not just saying that because she is my child)
5. I am typically drawn to a sarcastic sense of humor.
6. I loathe to admit that I love watching stupid people on reality tv. It makes me feel like an intellectual. (I thought Emily might appreciate that...it sort of gives me the same enjoyment as watching that bizarre class you were in!)
7. My husband impresses me with his intelligence. (and I enjoy his puns/jokes)
8. Out of my 3 sisters, I have a favorite. Is that bad?
9. I listen to the Broadway station on satellite radio.
10. I think that moving to NC was one of the best decisions we've made.
11. I have read all of the Harry Potter books. (big deal...so has everyone else)
12. I love going to the Magic Kingdom @ Disneyworld.
13. I like Bon Jovi's music.
14. Tootsie Rolls are awesome.
15. I have a collection of travel books and I send away for free travel information quite often. I think I am obsessed with vacationing. Maybe that is because our month-long trip out west was one of the best times in my life.
16. I think that I am just as OCD and anal retentive as my husband. (people recognize these traits in him because he makes it soooo evident. I keep it on the Down Low.)
17. I hate roaches, spiders, lizards and snakes.
18. I am one of the most "low maintanence" girls ever.
19. I was going to teach myself guitar over the summer but that didn't quite work out.
20. I am counting down the days until the new baby is born. I am really very excited and can't wait to see how it affects our family dynamic.

I wish I had more time to write. I am big. Yep, really pregnant. I have about 90 days until my due date. Woo hoo! I got my first baby gift today!

Olivia is so big and smart. All of you who knew her when she was just an infant would be so proud. She writes her numbers and letters now. I should scan some of her papers sometime. You guys would love it. She is so excited to be a "big sister"

Rick starts school on the 15th for year #2. I am always so impressed by his work. I can't wait to see what he does this year.

I only have about 12 weeks left of work before taking 8 weeks off. I have a feeling that this school year is going to fly by because there is SO much going on. Luckily, my 6th grade classes are awesome kids this year. I taught my 8th grade tech class about building a flat. I thought that was funny!

I am addicted to "so you think you can dance"!!!!!!!!! (how sad is that)

I think of all of you Boone people often but lately Rick and I have wondered how Chris P. is doing. If you see him, tell him to sign on to lj and respond.

I won't have time to post tomorrow because we are leaving for our last trip of the summer.
Stop one= my grandparents + alex
stop two= rick's parents (austin, tx)
stop three= nephew's wedding (dallas, tx)
then back to Winston with the in-laws.

i have so much to do before we can leave. rick just finished working in the yard. it looks so much better. i have to drop the dog off, finish cleaning, clean the car, and pack. hopefully this will all occur before rick gets finished with work at 5pm. olivia is going to the gallaghers, so that should help me out a lot. she loves them and their puppy "fenway".

my next appt. at the doctor's is when we return on the 19th. then i start teacher workdays on the 20th. i assume all is going fine considering the baby packs a pretty strong punch already.

i read that there is a new teacher at boone. i hope that this year is exciting for all of you and that musical theatre will return! take care!

i'd like to give a shout out to a few people i have been thinking about lately: chris p., kimmy, nay nay, keith, cristina, adri and celina (if you didn't make the list...it doesn't mean anything...we love the rest of you too!!!)

Finished Harry Potter this morning. I am not sure how I feel about it yet? I thought it was sort of predictable...but it left some good options for the plot of the next book. I guess that is all I can say... so that I don't spoil it for those that haven't read it yet.

Haven't posted in forever. I guess there just isn't a lot of time left in the day to do it. We just got back from camping in the mountains. It was tons o' fun. Before we went camping, I spent a week in Crestview, FL at the grandparents house. It was a great visit. I need to post a picture of all of the girls in the family, on the beach. Alex's hair was HUGE!!! I love summertime because I can sleep a little later, watch TV, read books, cook dinner, and spend lots of time with Rick and Olivia.
I am getting bigger!! Rick and I went to the first childbirth class last night. They didn't tell us anything that we didn't know already. We were one of the few couples that already had another child.
Overall, life is good.
Well, time for dinner.

My dad gets here this afternoon. I think he will be here until next Monday. Hopefully it will stop raining so we can go to the mountains and stuff.

Rick is working right now. He ended his first year of school with a 4.06 GPA. Anyone suprised?? I am not.

Just got home from my first ultrasound. Baby is 12 weeks and 4 days, today. It is so strange seeing internal pictures on a television screen. Everything is good so far....

Keith will appreciate that Olivia's favorite songs right now are the following:

(something about a 4 year old singing the Beatles is really funny!)

I never have time to write on this thing anymore. Here is the super quick update:

Monday will be the last day of school for me...and yes, I signed on for another exciting year of middle school drama. The spring musical was interesting...gotta love those plays written for the middle school audience.

Olivia is soooo big and cute and funny! You would all die if you saw her. Seriously, you would be laid out on the floor dead!

Rick is finishing his first year at NCSA. He is doing very well! Hooray for drafting and carpentry and technical direction.

I am approx. 3 months pregnant. Woo hoo! Monday is my first big appointment. We will hear the heartbeat!

I want to give a shout-out to Alex on her birthday! (and Nay Nay- I miss you! I have been meaning to email you forever...maybe when school is out I can actually have time to do it!)

Well, Rick has three different summer job offers ranging from carpenter to Asst. technical director. He also got straight A's again. He is such a perfectionist that nothing suprises me. Thursday is my last day at school before spring break!!! Yipee!! Dad arrives on Friday morning. Olivia wants to play on the Sesame Street website now...so I guess I better go. (thanks a lot Kim)

It's been a long time. The only reason I have time to update now is because it is a SNOW DAY!!!! Hooooooray for no school! Teaching middle school has grown on me a little. I don't love it but it pays the bills. Middle school boys are so annoying.

Rick got a summer job offer from the Santa Cruz Shakespeare Festival in CA. We decided we didn't want to split our family up for 10 weeks though. He is in Toronto right now for the USITT convention (the us institute of theatre technicians, i think) The NCSA has a booth there, plus he wants to start networking with other schools and professionals so that he will know people in the field when he graduates. I am so jealous because he gets to see Wicked this week.

Olivia has discovered bubble wrap. It is extremely annoying because she has been popping it while watching Dora the Explorer for the past 15 minutes.

Rick will be home in 3 days and Dad is going to be here in 8 days. I can't wait.

Not much going on here. Rick is driving to Biloxi tomorrow to visit his grandmother. Olivia and I are staying in NC.

A 6th grader punched another student in one of my classes today and Ryan's face flashed in my head. I can't imagine why???

my Kimmy...i am proud of you and how far you have come in the last three years. words can't even express it.

I don't know what anyone else is doing at districts but we are there with you. Districts and State are some of the fondest, most enjoyable moments for me. Especially when troupe 1139 became a family. I was so proud to see how supportive you could all be for each other when we were there. If you accomplish that---none of the scores even matter! (well, maybe they matter a little :)
